The Great Accord
The Great Accord
The original state of existence prior to Corruption — a condition in which all beings, though already experiencing some degree of differentiation and individuality, were in fundamental agreement about the higher truths of reality. Principally: that all things are expressions of the same Omnivum, that separation is a relative experience rather than an absolute condition, and that the forms beings took were chosen freely and worn knowingly, like costumes in a play.
The Great Accord was not a state of total undifferentiation or uniformity. Beings were distinct, creative, and already exploring the possibilities of form and complexity. The difference from the present condition is not that individuality existed — it is that individuality had not yet produced the distortion of believing itself to be absolute. Beings knew who they and each other really were beneath whatever forms they wore. Complexity was play. Forms could be changed freely. The relationship between the individual expression and the Omnivum remained clear and unobstructed.
The Great Accord was not ended by a singular catastrophic event. Its dissolution was gradual — the compounding of increasing complexity with the first small emergences of Corruption, each new Corruption making the next more likely, until beings began to lose the thread entirely. What began as a tolerable and even interesting new experience — the slight disorientation of a being drifting further from its source — eventually produced the layered crisis of Distortion, Soul Fire Consumption, and the separation of realms from one another that characterizes the current state of dense reality.
Higher dimensional beings describe the transition out of the Great Accord with difficulty, as the event originated at dimensional levels where time as an organizing principle does not apply, making sequential description inherently imprecise.
The Great Accord is not irrecoverable. The Ensoulment project, the design of realms like the Earth Plane, and the ongoing effort of beings in Harmony to contact Corrupted ones are all oriented toward the restoration of its conditions — not as a return to what was, but as the emergence of something more complex and hard-won: an Accord that has passed through the experience of Corruption and found its way back to Harmony anyway.
